Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 September 2026
Podium is run as a small, independent project. This page states plainly what we collect and why — no legal boilerplate longer than the actual practice.
What we collect
- Waitlist signups: if you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the plan you selected, so we can notify you when it's ready.
- Weekly league entries: joining the league is opt-in — you choose a name (a nickname is fine) and, optionally, a school. Both are visible to anyone viewing that week's league board for your tier. Don't enter anything you wouldn't want shown publicly.
- Anonymous usage counters: we count page visits and a few button clicks (like which pricing tier someone chose) to understand whether the site and any ad campaigns are working. These are simple day-by-day totals — we don't log your IP address against them, don't use cookies, and can't tie a count back to an individual visitor.
- Tier preview (Bronze/Silver/Gold toggle): this is stored only in your browser's local storage. It's never sent to us.
- Rate-limiting on free tools: to stop the free question generators being abused, we briefly associate your IP address with a daily usage count. This is automatically deleted after 24 hours and is never linked to anything else you do on the site.
What we don't do
- No cookies, no third-party analytics scripts, no ad-tracking pixels are on this site today.
- We don't sell or share any data with third parties.
- We don't collect payment details — billing isn't live yet, so there's nothing to collect.
- We don't knowingly collect data from children directly — Podium is a tool for parents to use with their children, and the league nickname/school fields are entered by whoever's using the account, not scraped or required from a child directly.
Where data lives
Everything is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. If you'd like your waitlist entry or a league entry removed, contact us via the email on our contact channels and we'll delete it.
Changes
If what we collect changes meaningfully (for example, when real billing launches), we'll update this page and the date above.
